Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms of Service govern the conditions and procedures for using the learning service (hereinafter "the Service") provided by Batchim (hereinafter "the Service Provider"), as well as the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Service Provider and users.

Article 2 (Definitions)

• "Service" refers to the Korean language learning content, flashcards, quizzes, progress tracking, and other features provided by the Service Provider.
• "User" refers to any person who uses the Service in accordance with these Terms.
• "Content" refers to learning materials, audio pronunciations, quiz questions, and visual assets provided within the Service.

Article 3 (Effectiveness and Changes to Terms)

• These Terms apply to all users who wish to use the Service.
• The Service Provider may modify these Terms when deemed necessary. Updated Terms will take effect upon notice through the Service or website.
• Users who do not agree to the modified Terms may discontinue use of the Service.

Article 4 (Provision of Service)

The Service Provider offers the following services:

• 6-stage Korean language learning content (Hangul to Intermediate)
• Flashcard-based vocabulary and phrase learning with native pronunciation
• 5 types of interactive quizzes
• Learning progress and streak tracking
• Review system for missed words
• Other services as determined by the Service Provider

Article 5 (Service Model and Advertisements)

The Service is provided free of charge and is supported by advertisements served through Google AdMob. The Service includes the following ad formats:

• Banner ads: Displayed on the home screen
• Interstitial ads: Displayed after completing certain levels
• Rewarded video ads: Optional — users may choose to watch ads to earn bonus XP

The Service Provider does not charge users directly. There are no in-app purchases or subscription fees.

Article 6 (Service Availability)

• The Service operates offline and is available 24/7 in principle.
• Certain features (advertisements, audio playback) may require an internet connection.
• The Service Provider may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance or due to force majeure events.

Article 7 (User Obligations)

Users shall not engage in the following activities:

• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the app
• Reproducing, distributing, or broadcasting content obtained from the Service without prior written consent
• Infringing upon the intellectual property rights of the Service Provider or third parties
• Damaging the reputation of or interfering with the operations of the Service Provider or third parties
• Any other illegal or improper conduct

Article 8 (Intellectual Property)

• Copyright and intellectual property rights for all content within the Service belong to the Service Provider.
• Users may use information obtained through the Service only for personal learning purposes.
• Commercial use of content without prior written consent from the Service Provider is prohibited.

Article 9 (Disclaimer)

• The Service Provider is not responsible for service interruptions caused by force majeure or circumstances beyond its control.
• The Service Provider is not responsible for service disruptions caused by the user's own actions.
• The Service Provider does not guarantee specific learning outcomes from using the Service.
• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind regarding the accuracy of Korean language content.

Article 10 (Dispute Resolution)

• Disputes between the Service Provider and users shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Korea.
• The laws of the Republic of Korea shall apply to any litigation filed between the Service Provider and users.
